Cross-Cultural Unity: Youth Solidarity Project
During the ‘Proud Young People in Solidarity with Our Society’ project, which took place from August 3, 2020, to August 2, 2021, volunteers experienced a transformative journey. This initiative facilitated both short- and long-term impacts, offering invaluable international work experience, event organization skills, and an enhanced understanding of multiculturalism. Through immersive activities and collaboration with the Bulgarian Red Cross, volunteers gained insights into diverse tasks involved in event preparation and execution, fostering a shift in their perspectives towards promoting multicultural acceptance within their communities. The project not only aligned with the objectives of the European Solidarity Corps but also encouraged active citizenship and intercultural understanding among participants from Turkey, Greece, and Finland, fostering enriching intercultural dialogue and learning. Implementing this project is a heartfelt endeavor aimed at providing a transformative experience for young individuals. Our focus is on supporting disadvantaged youth while strengthening collaborations with local organizations to amplify positive impacts. Through our past experiences with the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), we witnessed the profound connections formed among foreign volunteers and the development of self-cooperation beyond the project hours. The essence of volunteering goes beyond mere service; it empowers both volunteers and local communities, leaving lasting positive imprints long after the project concludes.
Our ambition is to combat racism, nurturing inclusive dialogues, and fostering innovative collaboration models. At the heart of our Youth Center’s social mission is the growth and development of children and young people, offering them international opportunities and fostering intercultural learning. The European Solidarity Corps Voluntary Service aligns with our goals of enhancing young people’s professional skills and nurturing active citizenship. We aim to engage young people facing various challenges – unemployment, learning difficulties, or social obstacles – providing them with support, guiding them towards empowerment, and helping them navigate new directions in life. In today’s global context, where Bulgaria welcomes asylum seekers, it becomes crucial to facilitate mutual understanding among diverse cultures and equip our society with the necessary skills and knowledge. We believe that through international projects, collaboration between individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures can significantly enrich local communities, fostering understanding and potentially mitigating prejudices. By involving local volunteers in our initiatives, we aim to enhance their language skills, broaden their cultural horizons, and forge friendships across borders. Participants engaging with the Bulgarian Red Cross – Primorsko activities will not only deepen their multicultural competencies but also establish connections abroad, leveraging the international presence of the Bulgarian Red Cross in various countries. Our aim is to provide spaces predominantly for vulnerable young individuals who often do not have the means to engage in volunteer work due to various challenges they face. By offering enhanced support, we aspire to guide these young individuals toward empowerment, project involvement, and the exploration of new avenues in life.

Youth Creative Management Project Addresses NEET Youth Challenges
The project, operational from August 5, 2018, to December 31, 2019, aims to empower NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) individuals in Bulgaria by providing an EVS experience, and important unemployment rates.
Project Partnerships Forge EVS Opportunities for European Youth
Collaborating with seasoned EVS organizations, the initiative targets enhanced youth competencies and intercultural learning, reinforcing roles through ENYC network ties and digital platforms for effective project execution.
Youth Creative Management
Commencing from August 5, 2018, to December 31, 2019, our project ‘Youth Creative Management’ aims to empower young individuals, particularly those classified as NEET (not in employment, education, or training). Our vision is to guide these individuals through an EVS (European Voluntary Service) experience in Bulgaria, enhancing their skill sets and nurturing their inclusion within their respective communities. The project seeks to address prevalent issues such as high youth unemployment rates, lack of opportunities for skill development, and self-confidence issues among the youth.
We believe that being young and proactive entails not just seeking personal growth, but also contributing positively to society. Through this project, we aim to foster a supportive environment for NEET youth, enabling them to develop a wide range of competencies during their EVS tenure. These individuals, originating from Turkey, Greece, and Finland, bring diverse backgrounds that add invaluable richness to our intercultural dialogue and learning sessions during the project.
Our objectives are centered on enhancing the volunteers’ key competencies, particularly in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) within youth work and non-formal learning. By engaging them in office assistance and educational programs for children and youth, we aim to promote active participation and instill healthy behaviors among them. Additionally, our project endeavors to raise awareness regarding the challenges faced by independent youth and cultural sectors in Greece, Finland, and Turkey, while also developing volunteers’ management and workshop implementation skills.
Ultimately, ‘Youth Creative Management’ aspires to create a positive impact by nurturing intercultural learning, fostering relationships with local NGOs, and enhancing technical skills through engaging volunteers in IT-related tasks, thereby contributing to a more empowered and inclusive youth community.
How did you choose your project partners? What experiences and competences will they bring to the project? Please also describe how the project meets the needs and objectives of your partners.
For this project, we’ve selected three partners from different Program countries, each with extensive experience in EVS projects as hosting, receiving, and coordinating organizations. Their robust background in the EVS program, coupled with their rich knowledge and skills, promises substantial contributions across all project stages. Building on established relationships fostered through various platforms like Facebook, Skype, emails, and youth portals, these partner organizations are also members of the ENYC network, aligning closely with our objectives.
We’ve delineated clear roles among partner institutions, dividing responsibilities as per the Program Guide and contractual activities. Over the upcoming months, the relationship between sending and host organizations will strengthen further. Our aim is to facilitate efficient project execution and provide EVS learning opportunities for targeted organizations sending volunteers.
Conducting meetings will ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project and its execution, clarifying the project’s venue, content, and media. Collaboratively identifying our volunteers will bolster the application process’s quality and contribute to establishing new partnerships among participating EVS organizations, an important aspect we’re targeting with this project submission.
Regarding topics addressed by our project, we’re focusing on Creativity and Culture, EU Citizenship and Awareness, Democracy, and Enterprise, including SMEs and entrepreneurship. We plan to involve associated partners by outlining their profiles and roles, ensuring their involvement contributes significantly to achieving the project’s aims.
Please describe the profile, background and needs of the volunteers involved and how they have been or will be selected.

Participants will learn about, fill, and have their Youthpass validated, offering recognition for their non-formal and informal learning experiences.
How will the practical and logistic matters of each planned activity be addressed (e.g. travel, accommodation, insurance, safety and protection of volunteers, visa, social security, mentoring and support, preparatory meetings with partners etc.)?
Our volunteers in Primosko, Bulgaria, will have a safe and comfortable home, ensuring their well-being. A rented apartment near the office with essential amenities like 24-hour water, Wi-Fi, and monthly pocket money will be provided. We’ll help them adapt to local living necessities and engage them in our NGO’s programs, ensuring their involvement brings positive changes to targeted groups.

Fostering Entrepreneurial Passion: Empowering European Youth Through Practical Skills and Innovation
Within the European Community, young individuals actively shape their career paths, leveraging the freedom of movement for goods, services, people, and capital. While entrepreneurship emerges as the revered profession of this century, there exists a palpable uncertainty and lack of confidence among European youth. Despite technological advancements fostering innovation and new business ventures, young innovators often hesitate due to perceived risks.
Challenges surrounding youth entrepreneurship stem from multifaceted issues like insufficient societal support, market uncertainties, and a lack of early entrepreneurial education. Our goal is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in entrepreneurship, nurturing a genuine interest and laying the foundation for managing one’s business. Encouraging and educating youth in the nuances of entrepreneurship, from business planning to research, is pivotal in fostering their interest and capabilities in this field.
Our project aims to invigorate youth engagement, promote innovative thinking, and instill a desire for independence. Through sharing practices and experiences across diverse young minds from different countries, we aspire to address continental challenges and unveil shared causes—both positive and negative—within entrepreneurship.
Aligned with the objectives of the „Erasmus+“ program, our mission is to bolster the entrepreneurial spirit among European youth, apply gained knowledge, enhance language skills, and develop essential „soft skills“ that fortify their entrepreneurial journey.
